Dear BIOP Community,

As co-founders of Blacks in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Inc. (BIOP), we are filled with gratitude as we reflect on the incredible journey we've embarked on together. Our shared commitment to uplifting Black voices and experiences within the I/O psychology industry has ignited the flame that propels us toward our vision of leaving a lasting impact on this field.

The support we've received from the I/O community has been nothing short of inspiring. From grassroots efforts to the unwavering dedication of our small conference planning team, each contribution, no matter how big or small, has played a crucial role in paving the way for our inaugural conference. The conference is scheduled for Thursday, February 22nd, to Friday, February 23rd, 2024, in the vibrant city of Atlanta, Georgia. This event is a testament to the strength of our community and the impact we can make when we come together.

MORE ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The conference is not just a gathering; it's a celebration of our achievements, a platform for learning, and a catalyst for the change we want to see in the I/O psychology industry. As I/O psychologists, you understand the unique challenges faced by Black professionals in this field. This conference is designed to address those challenges, providing a space for connection, knowledge exchange, empowerment, and collaboration with allies.

Throughout the two-day event, you'll have the opportunity to engage with inspiring keynote speakers, participate in thought-provoking panel discussions, and immerse yourself in interactive workshops. The sessions will not only equip you with actionable strategies for your work but also empower you to advocate for yourself and the value you bring to the workplace.

We want to honor and recognize the invaluable contributions of our members, allies, volunteers, and generous donors who have played pivotal roles in advancing Blacks in I/O Psychology. The gala promises to be a fun evening, filled with gratitude, camaraderie, and a toast to the vibrant future of I/O psychology.
