In today's rapidly evolving workplace, traditional notions of allyship—often characterized by one-sided advocacy—are no longer sufficient. To foster genuinely inclusive and equitable organizations, we must embrace a paradigm shift: viewing allyship as a reciprocal, two-way partnership.

Drawing from the frameworks presented in the book Act like an Ally, Work with an Ally, this webinar will explore how allies and partners can co-create environments that promote fairness, belonging, and mutual growth. We'll delve into strategies that move beyond performative gestures, emphasizing sustained collaboration, shared accountability, and the importance of listening and learning from one another.

This session is designed for I-O psychologists, HR professionals, organizational leaders, and anyone committed to advancing equity and inclusion in the workplace. Join us to reimagine allyship and equip yourself with the tools to build more inclusive organizations in 2025 and beyond!

Dr. V is a published author and recognized expert on workplace allyship, a topic she’s been researching and teaching for over a decade. Her 2018 dissertation focused on ally behavior in organizational settings, and her forthcoming book, Act like an Ally, Work with an Ally, expands the conversation to highlight the voices and responsibilities of both allies and their partners. In this session, she brings research, practical tools, and lived experience to help attendees reimagine allyship as a two-way partnership for real, lasting change.
