BIOP members are invited to participate in the second annual Global Work and Organizational Psychology Conference, also known as G-WOP.

G-WOP is a collaborative initiative involving more than 20 professional industrial and organizational psychology associations and governing bodies from around the world. The conference brings professionals together across borders, time zones, and career stages for connection, reflection, shared learning, and meaningful action.

As the world of work continues to evolve, creating both new challenges and opportunities, G-WOP provides a unique opportunity for the global I-O psychology community to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and explore the issues shaping our field.

The virtual conference will take place over a continuous 24-hour period, creating a global marathon of conversations, presentations, and ideas. Sessions will be scheduled across multiple time zones, and recordings will be made available to current members of participating organizations following the event.

New This Year: Global Employer Showcase and Career Fair

Before the conference, G-WOP will host a Global Employer Showcase and Career Fair. This virtual event is an opportunity to connect directly with employers, explore current job opportunities, and hear more about their organizations and available roles.

When It Happens

Career Fair:

• September 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. UTC

Conference:

• Start: September 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. UTC
• End: September 18, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. UTC

Format and Access

The conference and career fair will be held fully online. Sessions will be recorded and later made available to current members of participating professional organizations.

After registering, you will receive an automated confirmation. Meeting access information will be provided closer to the event.

Registration is free for members of participating organizations, including BIOP. A valid, current BIOP membership is required.

BIOP Representation

We are excited that our very own Board Chair, Sertrice Shipley, will represent BIOP as a speaker during this year’s conference.

Sertrice will speak on sponsorship as an emerging standard for career growth, sharing insights on the important role sponsorship can play in advancing careers and creating meaningful professional opportunities.
