Experienced professional with 15 plus years in the area of Career Development, Career Coaching and Career Advising. With years of service in the Non-For-Profit sector, in community social services providing leadership, mentorship, vision, administrative strategic support and career coaching services working with the Ex-Offender population, In-school youth, High school level academic advising, and 20 plus years’ experience in Higher Education.
Charles was born and raised In Chicago but spent his formative years growing up in west suburban Maywood, IL. Charles a former student athlete received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from an Historically Black College and University (HBCU) The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. After undergraduate studies returned home to Chicago and completed a Master’s Degree in Psychology Human Development while working full time in the Non-Profit sector assisting first generation high school heading to college. Providing services to the youth in the city of Chicago spurred his passion to continue to work in higher education.
Charles is mission driven, student success centric providing customized career advising and experiences establishing new procedures and strategies to enhance career services using innovative technology with specialties in Job Search Strategies, Resume/CV development, Career Advising, Career Researching, and Career Pathways.
