Join us for a transformative 60-minute session bridges the ancient wisdom of yoga ethics, specifically the Yamas and Niyamas, with modern leadership science. Drawing on evidence-based frameworks such as Authentic Leadership (Avolio & Gardner, 2005), Ethical Leadership (Brown & Treviño, 2006), and Servant Leadership (Greenleaf, 1977), the session explores how principles like nonviolence, truthfulness, self-discipline, and surrender can inform compassionate, accountable, and values-driven leadership.
Led by Amber L. Myers, a Registered Yoga Teacher, SHRM-CP, I-O Practitioner, and HR Manager, the session combines theory and practice through live polling, real-world scenarios, and participant reflection. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how self-awareness and ethical consistency can strengthen workplace culture and enhance the impact of leaders on their teams.
What to Expect:
-Interactive learning through live polling and real-world scenarios
-Self-reflection exercises to deepen leadership awareness
-Practical strategies for building ethical, balanced, and human-centered leadership habits
In today's rapidly evolving workplace, traditional notions of allyship—often characterized by one-sided advocacy—are no longer sufficient. To foster genuinely inclusive and equitable organizations, we must embrace a paradigm shift: viewing allyship as a reciprocal, two-way partnership.
Drawing from the frameworks presented in the book Act like an Ally, Work with an Ally, this webinar will explore how allies and partners can co-create environments that promote fairness, belonging, and mutual growth. We'll delve into strategies that move beyond performative gestures, emphasizing sustained collaboration, shared accountability, and the importance of listening and learning from one another.
This session is designed for I-O psychologists, HR professionals, organizational leaders, and anyone committed to advancing equity and inclusion in the workplace. Join us to reimagine allyship and equip yourself with the tools to build more inclusive organizations in 2025 and beyond!
