We are launching the 2025-2026 Blacks in I/O's Mentorship Program. As an organization dedicated to uplifting minorities, we want to ensure the next generation of black and brown leaders are afforded every opportunity beneficial to their career and personal growth we can provide. Blacks in I/O is committed to connecting current members for a guided academic year-long virtual mentorship relationship. In this program, we will layout structure and guidance to establish the relationship, including materials to evaluate both mentor and mentee's strengths and goals. The experience, wisdom, and access mentors have can drive the change we wish to see. It is important that we equip our future leaders with the skills and confidence they need to drive their careers! |
We are well aware being a minority in undergraduate/graduate programs, and even in workplaces, can be overwhelming. Establishing the Blacks in I/O Mentorship Program allows for, YOU, our members to interact and learn from those who look like you and/or who are in spaces you hope to reach.
"Mentorship provides access to those who might not otherwise have it...Mentorship builds up a network and opens doors to new relationships that can influence a career trajectory."
