Join a Worldwide Conversation in I-O Psychology

The 2nd Annual Global Work and Organizational Psychology (G-WOP) Conference is an international collaboration among more than 20 professional work and organizational psychology societies and governing bodies, bringing together the global I-O psychology community for 24 hours of learning, connection, and shared dialogue.

Hosted across multiple time zones, the conference creates opportunities for researchers, practitioners, educators, students, and organizational leaders to exchange ideas, explore emerging trends, and examine the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of work. Through presentations, panel discussions, and conversations with colleagues from around the world, participants will gain new perspectives while contributing to the advancement of the science and practice of work and organizational psychology.

BIOP is proud to participate in this global initiative and is excited that Board Chair Sertrice Shipley will represent the organization as a featured speaker during this year's conference.

Conference sessions will be recorded and made available to members of participating organizations following the event, allowing attendees to revisit presentations or catch sessions they were unable to attend live.

Can you successfully earn a PhD while working full time? Hear firsthand from I/O psychology professionals who have done exactly that. Panelists will share practical strategies for balancing work, research, coursework, and life, discuss the challenges they faced, and offer lessons they wish they had known sooner.

Beyond the Profile: DISC as a Live Coaching Diagnostic (Friday, October 09, 2026)

If you've ever watched a technically sound coaching intervention completely miss its target, this session is your debrief. Dr. Lorenzo Moultrie, PhD, board-certified coach and behavioral scientist, breaks down DISC. He positions it away from a personality test and toward a precision-coaching methodology, built for practitioners who need more than self-awareness frameworks and good instincts. In 45 minutes, you'll walk through how to read behavioral cues without a formal assessment, understand your own stylistic blind spots as a coach, and match your interventions to what each client's profile actually responds to. This is applied behavioral science, and it's going to change how you show up in your next session.

About the Speaker

Lorenzo Moultrie Jr, PhD, is an industrial and organizational psychologist, leadership development consultant, and behavioral science educator with expertise in leadership, coaching, and organizational effectiveness. He earned his doctorate from Walden University, where his research explored the relationship between coaching psychology and psychological well-being. Dr. Moultrie is also a board-certified coach. In his professional life, he works in the financial industry, focusing on coaching, training and development, and performance improvement through organizational effectiveness and process improvement. His scholarly and professional interests include strengths-based development, applied positive psychology, human behavior, and leadership effectiveness. Dr. Moultrie’s work is grounded in helping people build greater self-awareness, improve communication, and perform at a higher level in their professional lives.

Conference registration fees will not be reimbursed for cancellations. You have the option to seek a registration transfer to another person who can attend the conference in 2027, or allocate the fee towards your registration for the 2028 conference instead. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis. To request a transfer of registration fees, please send an email to founders@blacksinio.org prior to May 1, 2027. Please note that any transfer requests made after May 1, 2027 will not be approved.
